§ 3.36.060. Excessive bid amounts.

  • If all bids received are in excess of one hundred twenty-five thousand dollars, the board of supervisors may with the passage of a resolution by a four-fifths vote, award the contract at one hundred thirty-seven thousand five hundred dollars or less to the lowest responsible bidder, if it determines that the cost estimate of the public works department was reasonable. Note: To the extent that California Public Contract Code Section 22034(f) is amended from time to time to permit higher dollar amounts for the above authorization, then those higher amounts are incorporated herein by this reference and shall govern said authorization.
