§ 14.04.110. Powers and duties of the administrative authority.

    The administrative authority may adopt policies and procedures to implement and administer this chapter.

    B.

    Within the unincorporated area of Mono County, the administrative authority is authorized and directed to enforce the provisions of this chapter. It is authorized to consult with qualified experts in any matter concerning the construction, operation, maintenance, and repair of OWTS to the extent that it deems it necessary to assist in carrying out its duties under this chapter. The administrative authority may request and shall receive the assistance and cooperation of other officials of the County of Mono, so far as may be necessary to carry out its duties outlined in this chapter.

    C.

    The administrative authority may approve requests for variances from the provisions of this chapter if it is determined that complete compliance with the prescribed standards is not possible or practical and that the variance is not counter to the purposes and intent of this chapter or with the LAMP approved by the Regional Water Quality Control Board.
