    Environmental Determinations. (Review of Initial Study Part I and Completion of Initial Study Part II)

    A.

    A one hundred twenty-five dollar ($125.00) filing fee will be charged at time the application is submitted. The final charge will be calculated on the basis of actual County costs less the initial filing fee (i.e., forty dollars ($40.00) per hour for professional/technical staff time expended and twenty dollars ($20.00) per hour for clerical staff time expended).

    B.

    Categorical Exemptions will be charged a flat fee of fifty dollars ($50.00).

    2.

    EIR Administrative Fees. (Preparation, Processing and Review of EIR's)

    A.

    An initial EIR deposit of one thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500.00) shall be required for all private projects to be processed through the competitive evaluation procedure (RFP) (i.e., projects with estimated EIR costs of sixteen thousand two hundred fifty dollars ($16,250.00) or less are exempt from this monetary deposit). This fee is due and payable on completion of the initial study and determination that an EIR is required.

    B.

    All private projects requiring EIR's shall be required to place on deposit with the Planning Department a sum equal to the not to exceed cost estimate for EIR preparation, less any monies paid for the initial EIR deposit. (These deposit fees are due and payable before any EIR work can commence.)

    C.

    A two-hundred-fifty-dollar ($250.00) initial filing fee will be charged to all private EIR projects at time the "screen check" EIR is submitted for County review. The final charge will be calculated on the basis of actual County costs (forty dollars ($40.00) per hour for professional/technical staff time expended and twenty dollars ($20.00) per hour for clerical time expended).
